Dr. Manning has completed undergraduate studies at Illinois State University and his Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, a division of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is licensed by the State of Kentucky as an Audiologist and as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Dr. Manning has served as guest lecturer and mentor at many state and national organizations over the past 15 years. He has served as President of the national Academy of Dispensing Audiologists. He is the 1993 recipient of the Wernick Award, the highest award given by the Academy for outstanding contributions to education in the profession of Audiology. Dr. Manning also received the Audiology Appreciation Award, a prestigious national award given in recognition of outstanding service to the profession of Audiology. Additionally, Dr. Manning served three years on the Board for Licensing Hearing Instruments Specialists in the State of Kentucky and served his final year as Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Manning was recognized as the 2010 recipient for the Excellence in Audiology award by the Kentucky Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Manning and his wife of 32 years have 4 children. He and his family are members of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington.
